SECTION SEVENTEEN) SPIRITUAL JOURNEY Courage

kivafeather.com

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

A) Discovery Of HIS Love For Me

My GREAT FATHER blesses me with Courage, like unto the Oak Tree.

Given to me through HIS Strength, validation of HIS Presence,

HIS Expectation of me and of my Faith in HIM -

...turning away from self-imposed limitation

...turning toward HIS Guidance and HIS Call

....turning fear into a source of Positive Motivation

...replacing fear of a moment with a determination to complete the task that lies before me

The Oak Tree symbolizes Strength of Character and Courage.

My GREAT FATHER Loves Me, HE Is My Tree Of Life

HE loves me to share all of Eternity in HIS Presence.

HE loves me with an inspiration to live a life that is productive and meaningful.

HE loves me to teach me that my intentions and desires should be focused toward HIM, instead of upon myself.

HE loves me to guide me as I seek to remove things from my life, that are not worthwhile.

HE loves me that I will unite with my Fellow Travelers in pursuing the virtues of HIS Holiness.

HE loves me to raise me from my cares as I call on HIM with Humility.

HE loves me that I will find Genuine Love is expressed by HIM in a way that only HE can.

HE loves me that I will be comforted in knowing that I may always overcomer fear through HIS love.

HE loves me that HIS Love will grow within me.

HE loves me as HE seeks to remain present within me.

B) In The Spirit Of My Elders

I learn that the lessons of Courage are given through those who have gone before me. It is from them that I understand that Bravery is to confront and to conquer each foe. Temptation will be answered with determination to avoid places, persons and things that would harm me and those who are special to me. I enter into the battle against my adversary with the heart of a warrior. Surrender is not an option. The peace and assurance of my victory will be shared with everyone in my village.

E) 1st Nation (Ponca) Go Forward With Courage
When you are in doubt, be still, and wait; when doubt no longer exists for you, then go forward with courage. So long as mists envelop you, be still;

be still until the sunlight pours through and dispels the mists –

as it surely will. Then act with Courage.
-Chief White Eagle (1800's to 1914)

F) My Dance Of Courage And Therapeutic Needs by Chaplain Michael L. Benedict

My rhythm, song and harmony unite with the untamed and unbridled frontier that once lay ahead. With undaunted stamina and fearless conviction, the wilderness and frontier became subdued.  Through unwavering persistence and unending fortitude, the intensity of my passions are calmed. The quest to tame the frontier is a metaphor to overcoming past negativity and present consequence that lie within a restless heart. and rebellious spirit.  From misunderstandings and betrayal, now is the time for reconciliation. It is a time to seek the snares that have been a downfall. and to seal  each relationship with a spirit of genuine love and affection. This is the time to submit to that Healing Power, that each injury of illness may be made whole, and each hole of unkindness may be filled.

This is My Rhythm of Fearlessness.

This is My Song of Fortitude.

This is My Harmony which unites with:

The Reliability Of The Goose,

The Friendliness Of The Otter,

The Courage Of The Badger,

The Wisdom Of The Owl,

The Resilience Of The Penguin.
