Hear now, our song, expressed in Love -
With eyes to pierce the clouds
and feathered wings to weave
a signature upon the sky,
The Monarch
prepares to
conquer and celebrate
all that lies ahead -
adversity, challenge,
victory, triumph.
Each with fortitude and perseverance
which lies within the soul and heart.
These are
The New Feathers of The Monarch-
a new dream to be explored
and a new horizon to be crossed.

The concept of New Feather Village has been influenced by the traditions, customs, culture of the First Nation (Native American of American Indian).
Richness of Tradition and Culture as well as Courage in the face of adversity provide a powerful example for Intervention, Treatment and Recovery.

Over the decades, the First Nation has faced struggles and challenges, many of which remain unto today. Often these challenges have come about from political decisions and the prejudice of a governmental leaders and society toward entire generations of ethnic groups, including thew First Nation.
The journey of several Southeastern Tribes began with the "Indian Removal Act', through orders of President Andrew Jackson.
Departure from their homes took place on as northern route or on a southern route by water Eventually, their routes ended in the area of Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
Throughout the 1800's, the 'Trail of Tears also came to symbolize a forced departure from traditions and customs of culture and way of life.
Many children and grandchildren of those who had journeyed upon the Trail of Tears were taken from their homes and families, to immerse them in a culture and tradition that was totally unknown to them.
The abuse of alcohol or 'fire water' became prevalent through the First Nation culture - ruining lives and drowning the identity of a once proud people.
In the face of these struggles and challenges, The First Nation sought to hold on its traditions by passing down stories and traditions to the younger generations - a practice which continues to this day.
A reawakening among the First Nation was predicted by many of the Chiefs and Shamans of the 1800's. Compared to the dawn of a new day, a passion for the Spirituality and Customs as well as a Renewal of Identity would be renewed. It was foretold that this rekindling would take place in the 7th Generation - the one of today,.
Some who were forced to walk upon these 'Trails of Tears' were of my own paternal ancestors. Many who walked alongside the elderly and children, who died of exposure or starvation, were of my people.

Some who were forced to walk upon these 'Trails of Tears' were of my own paternal ancestors. Many who walked alongside the elderly and children, who died of exposure or starvation, were of my people.
My paternal ancestors were subjected to the harshness of traveling upon The Trail of Tears in the searing heat or biting cold.
Some of my maternal ancestors journeyed across the barren plains
in search of a new place to pursue the practice of their religious beliefs.
As a youth, I witnessed the affects of alcoholism in my home and began to set foot upon my own 'Trail of Tears' by sneaking drinks from the family liquor cabinet.
Some good friends were brought into my life to show me a better road to travel upon. It was from them that I first learned the benefit if Seeking and Accepting a Guiding Presence

My GREAT FATHER.
Through such a reliance, I found my KIVA as a way and place to seek and Keep Individual Value Alive. This reliance has remained with me along the way.
An important aspect to
The Spiritual Journey is to explore Experiences with Family and Significant Others. Reflection upon Events, Customs,
Traditions and Beliefs influence Choices and Decisions that have an impact upon Treatment and Recovery.

I know not what will come to pass in our future days;
I hope that only good will come, my children, to you.
